Fresh. Local. Easy.

How It Works

  • You shop.

Each week, you shop the online farm stand and fill your cart with local food. And if you don't want a delivery that week--just skip it!

  • We gather.

After the store closes, we send orders to our partner producers and then head out to the field for our own harvest so everything is as fresh as can be.

  • We deliver.

If you've opted to pick up your share, simply swing by your pre-selected location during the pickup window. If you've chosen home delivery, just wait for a friendly knock on your door! If you won't be home, leave a cooler with cold packs outside and our driver will make sure your order stays fresh until you return.

  • You enjoy!

Now it's time to get cooking! We hope you'll let us know all about your favorite meals made with local ingredients. Tag us on social media or send us a quick email. We love to hear what our members are making.

 FAQs

  • Over two decades ago, we started one of the first CSA (Community Supported Agriculture) programs in northeastern Indiana. Back then, we asked our members to pay for an entire season’s worth of food--upfront--which helped cover the costs of seeds, soil, labor, and infrastructure before the season even began. We also only offered a "farmer's choice" box, which meant every member received the same products, regardless of their preferences.

Well, times have changed. We understand that it can be difficult to pay a lump sum for months' and months' worth of groceries. We also know that our members want to choose the items they receive. That's why, after 21 years of CSA, we've switched to a membership-based local food club (kind of like Costco for local food).

Your annual membership fee serves a similar purpose as upfront payment in CSA; it helps us purchase seeds and chicken feed, pay e-commerce platform fees, stock up on packaging, and meet myriad other costs at a time of year when cash flow is a trickle. It also demonstrates your commitment to supporting local small businesses operating on thin margins. Our members vote with their forks--and their membership fees--to keep us and our partner producers in business, season after season.

  • Our online store is open to the public from noon on Saturday to noon on Monday every week during the main season (June through November). We invite you to shop around to see availability and pricing. Click here to visit the store.

  • Yes, there is a $35 minimum for all orders.

  • We open the online store every week from June through November. Members are also able to shop occasional “pop up” markets during the off-season, December through May.

  • Absolutely not. You will have the opportunity to place a weekly order during the main season, but it is up to you when you order and when you don’t.

  • Generally, if a pickup is missed by a customer, the order is forfeited. However, it is worth reaching out to see if a solution can be reached.

  • If you will not be home during the delivery window, please leave a cooler (with cold packs) outside your door. Our delivery driver will place your order in the cooler to keep it fresh until you return home.

Who’s your farmer?

Meet Jeff and Zach Hawkins, third- and fourth-generation farmers on Hawkins Family Farm. Located in Wabash County, IN, the farm has been in the Hawkins family since Jeff’s grandparents bought it in 1957. Jeff started our Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) program, also known as farm share, back in 2003. We’ve been a member-based farm for over 20 years because we believe in the importance of knowing your farmers and the source of your food.
